Outfit: Farewell Gray Sheath

You may recall my confessions of love for green this year (here and here) so it can’t be too surprising that it’s back. Mixed with a thin, mustard belt and a turquoise, yellow and green necklace these colors add some flair to a simple gray sheath. Now about the dress.

This was its final outing. It’s unfortunate because I really loved this dress. It was easy to wear in winter, spring and fall and paired with just about anything. Somehow it has gotten shorter – a little too short for my standards of work appropriate. Secondly, it’s not long enough to cover up my knees which are one of my least favorite body parts. So bon voyage little dress. I’ll now add a work appropriate sheath dress to my shopping list.

The details:

  • Short sleeve green cardigan from The Limited
  • Necklace and belt from Francessca’s
  • Enzo Angiolini Easully pumps from Nordstrom (now available in aqua at Zappos)

Have you ever given a favorite item a proper send off?

I usually donate my unwanted items or resell them at a yard sale. I’ve gotten rid of some really nice things too bcause I thought they had gone out of style. I sometimes kick myself in the butt and ask myself what was I thinking because alot of the things I had given away are currently all of the rage. I love your green too; I’m not sure what it is about that hue but it is slowly becoming my new favorite-I find myself leaning more towards that color than any other these days.
