It seemed like a good idea at the time but I’m not sure I like the denim + denim combination. I think it would’ve looked better with a navy pencil skirt but I wanted to wear something casual. Oh well, you have to try new things. Then you can add it to your list of what not to wear.

These are the shoes that started it all; my first pair of heels over 2″ (see a close up shot here). They taught me the benefit of a platform and the comfort of good shoes. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I pretty much only wear heels now. I guess you could call them my training-wheels heels! I’ve had them for several years but the color (burgundy/wine/oxblood) is all the rage so I had to figure out a good outfit for them. I’ve been layering more since the weather has been warm during the day but cools quickly as soon as the sun sets (which is at 4:30 pm which is utterly obnoxious).
These crazy hot days call for shorts and t-shirts. This outfit is a good example of comfortable and stylish. Stacey and Clinton would be so proud. It may not be office appropriate for everyone but it certainly would be good for a variety of other functions. As we head into fall, I know I’ll miss shorts as part of my wardrobe. Plus who knows what my next job will be and whether or not I’ll get to be as casual as my last. [wow this is one scattered post]
If it’s ok for Elle Woods to have pink as a signature color, it’s certainly got to be ok for me to have one too! I promise to shop for colors other than red but I really do enjoy wearing it. This shirt is one of my favorites. The cut is so flattering and the fact that it’s also sheer makes it even sexier.
